Small Flashlight

Yes, I have decided my first item to begin the bartering journey. The picture below is that item. A small flashlight.

I have had this small flashlight laying around my room waiting for a time to "shine". I want to trade this small flashlight for something large or possibly better. I am willing to travel a reasonable distance for the first few trades if you commit to making it happen.

The idea is to keep making trades with the items I receive to get something bigger and better, and to see how far this journey will take me.

Begginings

After reading a story of Kyle MacDonald who traded one paperclip for various items and ended up with a house, I decided to try something similar to see if it can be accomplished by someone working and attending college. So from now on, I will be attempting to trade items with complete strangers for something bigger. I am not looking to get a house in the end, I just want to see how far this can go and enjoy the journey that follows. Who knows, maybe something big will happen and  I end up with something like Kyle did.
